![]() ![]() In this story the Jamieson brothers are all K-9 detectives. This is the first that I have read and am confident that if the rest of the stories are similar, they can all be read as standalones. The True Blue K-9 series is a connected set of books all written by different authors. This was such an all-around enjoyable story that kept me entertained throughout. Zach’s drug detecting canine partner, Eddie, was pretty awesome himself, too. He, along with his two brothers who also work with the K-9 Unit, is still struggling with the unsolved murder of their brother Jordan, who was also a police officer. He’s a wonderfully protective hero to Violet. NYPD officer Zach works with the K-9 Unit. ![]() And I enjoyed the scenes in the story that took place at the airport. I really liked her job working at LaGuardia Airport at the ticket counter where she discovered a drug smuggling operation going on, and ended up making herself a target. She was strong and self-reliant, and really showed that she was capable of handling herself in dangerous situations. They’ve been friends since childhood, and now they are discovering romantic feelings towards each other. The main characters, Violet and Zach, were extremely likable. Even though the murder mystery from the first book still remains unsolved and ongoing, there’s another exciting storyline involving drug smuggling that does get wrapped up in this one. Book 2 was a fantastic installment of the True Blue K-9 Unit continuing series. ![]()
